Coronavirus: Gippsland is ready for telehealth

April 7, 2020 Christopher Mills

Please - if you feel unwell call the dedicated Coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398, leaving 000 for emergencies only.

Currently, social distancing appears to be having an effect, with the number of new cases in Victoria currently on the decline.

As of April 6, there were 23 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Gippsland, spread throughout the region. It is imperative that we continue to socially isolate to contain the spread of this awful pandemic.

However, everyone recognises that in order to maintain good health, medical appointments and consultations remain necessary - other ailments don’t wait around for the pandemic to end!

In order to minimise the need for you to come out, many of our appintments at GSG along with many other GPs and specialist clinics have been converted to online telehealth or telephone consultations. At GSG, we are still taking referrals as usual.

Please ask our friendly GSG administration staff to book your appointment via telehealth or telephone. Of course, some appointments, and all procedures, will mean you still need to attend in person - we will be sure to tell you if this is the case.
